Do I win worst mother??

Oh yes, I've had my fair share of "Mother of the Year award" moments! However, I'd say 'mom of the year' goes to the mom I saw in the pediatrician's office the other day who let her little girl run around barefoot. The little girl didn't even have shoes with her! Barefoot in the doctor's office?! I'm sorry, but :scared: :crazy2: ...where's the barfing smiley when you need it??!!

Number two: This summer I had my sister's kids (all boys) and I had to make a run to Wal-Mart. With my 3 & her 3 it was a bit chaotic so before we left the house I just shouted, "Does everyone have on shoes?" Of course they all said yes & I didn't check.

We get there & the 7 year old says he doesn't have shoes & awaits my wrath. Who has time for wrath when you're about the take 6 kids under 7 into Wal-Mart? I just dug around in the back of the van looking for an extra pair of flip-flops. No luck. The only thing we had was peach heels with a big leather flower on them. I help them up triumphantly & everyone laughed but he dutifully put them on & clip-clopped around Wal-Mart. We were all totally cracking up. The best part for me, though, is he is the kid that I lose all the time. With high heels on he couldn't run & had to concentrate on walking so he stuck by my side like maple syrup on a pancake. I never lost him once! After that I told him he was wearing heels everytime we left the house. He hasn't forgotten his shoes since!

Oh and this story is awesome! :lmao: Totally priceless.

I hope my husband does not find this thread. I came home from work one day when my dd was about 20mo, he was working nights then. I looked down at her and she had her shoes on the wrong feet, I said to him Joe did you look at your daughter's feet, he looked and then said, " I wondered all day why she kept falling." Poor baby was like that all day. So of course I said see what happens when dad's do the dressing.

Well a week later, my DS at the time was 7 asked to go to Dunkin Donuts before school for a treat, I said sure. He got out of the car on one side, I was on the other and a man on his side started laughing hysterically at my son and got in his car shaking his head. I said to DS what is he laughing at, my son said I think my feet. I look down he has two different sneakers on. Now do you think I admitted this to my husband, since I am the one that gets my son ready in the morning. NOOOO. I kept that one a secret.

Oh if it weren't for pictures like this to keep us all sane!!!

Thanks for the laugh!!!!

OMG!! I loved the military Dh in the slippers - I've totally been there before.

With the princess shoes - I've given up on stopping those along time ago. DD6 has worn them so often she can run full sprints in them. The higher the heel the happier she is.

I constantly have the "bad mother stamp" on my chest for one thing or another. However the way my kids dress is now out of my hands because they get themselves dressed. But trust me there are days they come out of the house wearing things I just shake my head over. DD6's favorite outfit is usually a cheetah top, with matching cheetah skirt, some off color stretch pants and hot pink cowboy books. Yeah she's a star. DD9 is usually wearing colors that don't match and dress shoes with sweatpants. Yeah she's a winner. I just look the other way and smile.:3dglasses

Nine times out of ten neither has brushed their hair - which makes me crazy because DD6 has cowlicks all over her head. I try to brush their hair when I'm brushing my own, but then when they get dressed it's a mess again.

Hey we're all human and as long as the kids are happy who cares!

Reading this description of your kids made me think of one of my very favorite books, "A Girl Named Zippy" by Haven Kimmel. If you are a reader, check it out at your library because I think you would really enjoy it.

These are hilarious!

I've taken my son out in my daughter's sneakers before. He kept complaining that they were too tight all day and when I looked down I noticed they were pink!

This thread is hilarious.

When I was in the second grade I had finished breakfast and was getting ready for school. I had a broken arm and asked my mom to tie my shoes. She says dead serious "what is your arm broken." I tell her yes and then she starts apologizing over and over.

Its funny how we all forget things while we are in a hurry its just that when your a mom you kinda take out on yourself when sometimes you just forget.

Been there. My oldest DD3 has done that. One Pink Disney Croc with 1 pink Dora generic croc. Mixed flop flop colors too.

This past summer during a trip to WDW I had a job fair to atend so DH and his niece took the girls to the MK for the day. When I joined them later that day I found DD 1 at the time wearing a new outfit. Why :confused3 ? Becuase DH didn't realize that he had only put her in a t-****, diaper, and shoes. :rotfl: My response, atleast she was wearing a diaper. Apparently he didn't notice he lack of bottoms until they were on the bus.
