Do I really want to go to TTMM?

Next week, my 3yr old DD and I are going on a Mommy and Me trip to DLR. I bought a package thru AAA so we have Toontown Morning Madness admission. But do I really want to go? I'm not a huge Toontown fan but DD loves the characters. Should we go? Is there lots of character interaction?

We are going tues-thurs so TTMM will be on weds...which is the day I had mentally planned for DCA. I'm dying to see Carsland and do some other stuff in DCA as I've never spent much time there. (DL has to be tues. DD will die if she doesn't get on IASW within an hour of arriving at the DLR).

Is it worth it to run back and forth or otherwise rearrange plans to make it to TTMM?

They have a little show with the characters and then they do meet & greets. We enjoyed it when we went. Within that first hour, we saw the show, met Minnie, Mickey, Donald & Goofy (Chip & Dale were out, too, but since we'd met them several times at the Visa M&G, we didn't head over to them) and rode Gadget's Go Coaster twice.

Yes it is a must for a 3 yr old. Plus it may be your last time doing this since they are not doing it after the end of the year.

We at 50 and 58 and enjoyed it extremely yesterday when we went. It is the least crowded wy to get to meet all the characters.

Ok. Does sound like something DD will love so we'll check it out.

Thanks!!

Do you have hopper passes? The reason I ask is your post dedicated certain days for each park. We go back and forth all day. While technically they are two different parks since they are so close to each other it's almost as if they are one in my mind.

We took our almost 3-year old. It seemed promising, but even our daughter was getting ancy towards the end. We wouldn't do it again. We went in September and it was hot with no place to stand in the shade. Still, if you have nothing else to do, it's fine. It might also be worth it just to know you did it.

We did it this Wed with our 3yo and I'd say Yes. Fastest way to see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto with short lines then do all of TT within an hour. No crowds at all. It was totally worth it for us. I had to beg for the tax and I'm so glad I did.

ETA: you don't have to sit through the 5 minute ceremony, you can use that time to visit the rest of TT with no lines.

We do have hoppers but I had sort of planned to spend most of tues (arrival day) in DL since DD will want to start there (though we have Ariel's ressies for dinner that night so we'll be in DCA in the evening at least), then most of Weds in DCA and leaving Thursday for whatever we didn't get to/want to do again in either park (or more likely in both). Going from DCA all the way to the back of DL to TT for Morning Madness then back to DCA just doesn't seem like a great use of time (remember, its just me and a 3yr old and I prefer for her to walk most of the time rather than ride in a stroller).

However, TTMM sounds like something she will enjoy since she LOVES the classic characters so I think I will just adjust my plans (its not like they were set in stone or anything anyway :thumbsup2 ).

Good to know we can just bail on the ceremony part if she gets bored.

Are there photopass photographers with the characters (I bought the Photopass+ advance deal so I'm hoping they are there)?

The photopass photographer is just in Mickey and Minnies house. The rest of the character's you take your own photos.

You can take the train from TT/FL station to Main Street to drastically shorten the walk.

We've done TTMM twice now. I thought it was worth it enough to do it again the second time, but we probably won't do it this time when we go unless it is just to ride the rides or if one of my kids asks to go.
