Do I really need the Fantasmic Package?

I am going in late September, on a Tuesday (Monday is the EMH evening at MGM). I have the package booked, but now am wondering if I really need it. Last December, it was standing room only, but I've never been in September.

Any thoughts?

We've never had any problem getting seats, but we go 30-45 minutes early and sit. If you want to come in at the last minute, you need the package.

I have made Fantasmic booking in years past, however, I like to sit in the last row of the benches and have found that there is always a seat no matter when I get there, so I no longer make a Fantasmic Package.
Occasionally, the restaurant where I eat dinner will give me a fantasmic pass so I can get into the reserved section.
Having said this, if I was with a group of people, I would want to have the reserved seating to ensure that we go to sit together in a spot we all liked.

We have never had a problem getting in and we go at least twice every trip. We do get there early. We sometimes bring up food from the food court below or get hot dogs there. We enjoy our time before the show. If you wait until the last minute, you may have a have time finding a seat. this last time a couple of the kids wanted to do Rock and Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror before Fantasmic. They knew where we usually sat, so they joined us a little later.

In all my trip to Disney I've never done the package. Almost all the seats here are good.

I've sat at the right, the left and the middle all the seat seem to be the same to me.

If it's your first time you might want to guarantee yourself a reserved seat. This theater does fill-up even on slow nights.

Do you need it, I say no.

We have never had a hard time getting in as long as we get there 45 minutes or more early. There are many nights where it will fill up to capacity crowds.
