Unless you're planning to venture outside of WDW,I don't see the need.

Another vote here for not needing a car. We don't rent a car as long as we are staying on site. We have never had a problem with Disney transportation. Save the money.

We only rented a car for our first trip, because we stayed off site. All of the other trips, we used Disney transportation and were fine.

Save the $$ for something else.

You guys are great! Love the posts. I think we will save the $$ and spend it on some other things. Hmmmm..... But if push comes to shove and we must get somewhere quickly, then we'll pay $20 for a taxi. Much cheaper than $200+ for the week. We're on vacation for goodness sake, I'd like to leave the "rushing around" back here at home. LOL!!
