Do I really get a do-over?

Hi there! :wave2:Just finished reading your post...I'm so glad you are getting a do-over! I had one of those last year in May, it poored the whole time we were there but we had a great trip this May! I hope the weather is better for you because I will be there around the same time. :yay: This will be our first trip in December, how cold does it get? Will we need mittens and hats?? We are also going to MVMCP, is it worth the extra money? Your daughter is adorable!

:welcome: We went last year in the beginning of December. It was pretty chilly on the days it was raining, but when the sun came out, it was nice and warm. Maybe mid 70's when the sun was shining? I'm from NY, so that was warm for me in Dec. I'd bring mittens and hats just in case, we definitely used them on the nights it got chilly.

I enjoyed MVMCP, dd fell asleep and missed the parade and the fireworks! I scheduled things a little differently this year, so we're not going out so early in the mornings on the nights after we're out late. My earliest breakfast is the 8:55 am one, but that is in our hotel, so we don't really have to go anywhere for it. We aren't planning rope drop at all. If we manage to make it, great. If not, we've seen it before. I'm also not doing any a.m. extra magic hours this time. What day are you going to MVMCP?

Enjoying your report so far!!

:welcome: Thanks so much !

I got some mickey mail today :yay::yay: My magical express tags arrived.

I've made so many changes to the dining, I was starting to get confused ato what reservations I've kept and what I cancelled. I made an excel spreadsheet just to keep track of where we are going on what days, where and when our meal reservations are and the confirmation numbers. I had done this earlier, but a lot needed to be changed. It's a good thing I did this, because I had transposed numbers in 2 of my confirmations!

There is one thing I hope to find before we go. We do get an assistance card for Kristina each trip and I usually just bring back the one from the previous trip and have them reissue it. We don't use it that much, but it is a lifesaver when we do actually need it. Mostly we just know what her limits are and try not to push her too much. There are many times we just leave (shows, meals, lines for attractions) because something sets her off. But, I have gotten to know what is going to put her into meltdown mode and I try to stop it before it happens :) She does still go in her stroller from time to time. And she covers the hood with a towel/blanket so no one can see her and she can't see anyone. She's got her own 'space'. She still needs that. I have a stroller that holds up to 75lbs. She's 50lbs. My hope is that by the time she no longer fits in it, we won't need the cave (as we call it LOL) anymore.

I did get us each a few tshirts at the Disney outlet yesterday. I also got a few little trinkets to put in dd's backpack for the plane. Since she doesn't know about the trip yet, I think I'm going to sneak one of her many bags and pack the new odds and ends in it. I'll hide it in my room somewhere until right before we are leaving. She'll be thrilled with new stuff to explore on the plane. I'm not getting too much, because she is fascinated with the little tv's on the back of the seat on the Jet Blue planes. She loves to just put on her headphones and ignore the world for the 2+ hours. That works for us, too :)

Caroline, don't forget to call dining also to get reservations, I find I can do better with a call. Our computer showed nothing for LeCelliers but when we called we got it.

Loving your trip report and you are so lucky to have a disney outlet store, I want to go and get shirts for all the boys and dress for me that matches. Do have that there?

But of course, there is no Disney outlet anywhere near here.

I have called a few times, but I think we're going to stick with what we have now. The only day I couldn't get anything for was the first night we are there. We do have a few extra dining credits left over, so we can either do room service that night after DHS or get some stuff from the QS restaurant when we get there and just have it later on that night.

Shirts they had plenty of, I didn't see any dresses. It's the only Disney outlet I know of anywhere around here. Even at that the whole store isn't an outlet, so you have to watch what you are getting. I'd say about half the store is at outlet prices. The rest of the stuff is regular prices. You are good as long as you know what they should cost. I only found that out because I asked why some of the stuff was the same price as the 'regular' disney store :)

YAY!!! for ME tags!!! Mickey mailis always good!!! We ate lunch at Tony's our last WDW day. I really liked it! Tiramisu was so yummy!

I can't wait!! I'm getting so excited!! I booked MVMCP for 12/14, how about you? I'm from Texas, I don't like the cold weather...I guess we'll pack for some cool nights. Thanks for the info on the app for Undercover Tourist, I downloaded it! I hope the times are accurate.

We are doing MVMCP on 12/16. In our original trip plans, we got tickets for that night because it's my niece's birthday and they were going with us.

Being from Texas, you may find it cold at night :)

I can't wait to see how the app works once we are actually there. Did you see the other android app? I think it's called 'ride hopper lite' or something like that. It's also free. There is a more extended version, but you have to pay for it. I haven't actually bought any apps yet, I just download freebies because I am cheap LOL.

I can't believe I am still up. I'm hoping the rest of my mickey mail comes this week. This week I'm going to have DH drag the suitcases into the house from the garage. I am going to preorder my photopass. And I'm going to try to do some more shopping. I am also going to get Christmas cards and write them out. I have lofty ambitions :rotfl:

Enjoying your PTR! It sounds like you have a lot of details in place. I haven't even thought about packing yet! Your girl is so cute. I hope the weather is nicer this year than last year. I know December is hit or miss. I just hope it is not cold and rainy. Sunny, but cold or rainy, but warm both seem nicer.

Thanks!! It's getting closer and closer. I can't wait for it. It's going to be fun, because even though we had fun on our girls trip, Kris still missed having her daddy there and he has never been to WDW for the holidays. Now we get to pretend we know it all and show everything off to him LOL.

I pre-ordered photopass yesterday. I think that was the last thing on my agenda to do besides pack. I don't even know what I have left. I still keep checking for a TS meal at either the Contemporary before we go to DHS or at DHS once we get there, but nothing is coming up. I called on the phone yesterday, too, and they couldn't find anything.

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend, because we've decided we're going to tell Kristina about the trip on the following Monday. We're doing it that way for 2 reasons: 1) she will only have 16 days before we go, so we avoided many months of "are we going yet?" and 2) she won't say anything (inadvertently) to my brother and his family, whom she won't see in between Thanksgiving and our leaving. I don't want to make anyone feel bad.

She has no school on the Monday, as it's teacher-conference day. That is also going to be the day I let her teachers know she will be missing the week of school. I did mention it to them twice already, on the first day of school and again at back to school night. I'm really not springing it on the last minute. Promise :)

Now I have to think of an exciting way to tell her:woohoo: Any one who has ideas, feel free to throw them out there!

And because I don't have much going on today, here are a few pictures from last year's trip:

We'll be there the same week as you, and we have ADRs at 1900 Park Fare at the same time! :) Our CP ADR is an hour later than yours too.

I just started my PTR tonight. I've never done this before, but its FUN! :)

:welcome: That's awesome !

This is my first time doing one, too. Even though this is my 9th (10th?) trip to WDW. Mostly I have intentions on doing it, I'm just lazy. Or never have the time to write one, becasue I'm too busy reading other people's. Some of it could be that after the PTR comes the TR and I don't feel like being on the DIS all the time when I have no ticker:rotfl2: The rest of it is the first few days I'll note anything interesting, but about half-way through I get distracted and forget what I am doing. Yes, both of my kids have, at various times, been diagnosed with ADHD. My son before it was even popular! Yes, I'm pretty sure I know where they get it from :rolleyes1 Their daddy ::evil laugh:: Who, hopefully, has not noticed I'm doing a trip report :scared: He doesn't have a membership to DIS and I'll make sure it stays that way!

Today, if I don't get caught up in anything else, I am going to take a few pictures of the things I bought last week. I just saw a report about Teppan Edo on a friend's TR. I'm sorry I didn't know about that earlier, because it looks like something I would have liked to try. So I have to add it to the mental 'next time' list. Yes, there will be a next time. I'm just not sure yet when that will be. I can guesstimate sometime in 2011, possible October. I may have cousins going to WDW from Scotland. And I may arrange to meet them there for a week. Or it may fall through. It's still in the way-too-early planning stages to really even think about it, for me. Maybe another pin will come along to help me decide. We'll see.

And just because I can't leave well enough alone, I've changed some more ADR's around. Thanks to the pictures in Alicia's trip report ::waves:: as well as the rumors about plum wine:rolleyes1 I've made a reservation at Teppan Edo for 12/15.

So now instead of Chefs de France at 4:20, here's the 12/15 revised meal schedule:

8:55 am The Wave
1:40 pm Chefs De France
7:40 pm Teppan Edo

I may just cancel The Wave all together. I only took it to try to use up a meal credit. We can always just use a snack credit or two for breakfast that day, because I think we'll have plenty to eat LOL

Yum, plum wine. It is good stuff and makes the evening nice. We do like the Wave for dinner because the chef is so good about DS diet. I guess I need to think about ADR's for our spring break trip, but I have a few Christmas things to finish up first.

I've never eaten at the Wave at all. Truthfully I never would have thought to eat there, other than the fact we are staying at CR at is just ... there LOL.
I would definitely start thinking about ADR's for spring break now, if there are any must-haves. Back when I made my first batch, in July, there were already things I wasn't able to get!

I'm just ready to go already :rotfl::rotfl:

Love the Christmas pictures from last year! The Spectacle of Lights is so beautiful. I can't wait for my boys to see it.

Thanks! I'm glad we're getting a chance to go back because even though we planned a girls only trip last year, once we got there I was kind of bummed that Karl wasn't with us. Not that we didn't have a great time, because we did. I didn't really know what to expect. Even though I was excited to go, I was also worried because it was the first time Kristina had been without her daddy overnight, never mind for 5 nights. She is very attached to him. Like obsessively attached. As in...we had to take his picture at the airport. She had to hold the camera and look at it all the time. She had to call him 100x a day. It probably would have been easier for him to have been with us :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just for a touch of Disney at home, we are going to see Disney on Ice with the Brownies in about 20 minutes. After the show, they are going to be able to go backstage. Hopefully we'll be allowed to take pictures :)

For those planning friends of mine: We need to leave here by 6:15. The person with our tickets hadn't shown up to drop them off. I was totally freaked out, because I didn't know where we are supposed to meet or anything.

I'm calm now and it should be fun! Put me in the DIsney mood again. Still no more Mickey Mail. Any day nowpopcorn::
