Do I pay for disabled son at Disney Quest?

My husband and daughter would love to visit Disney Quest during our visit in late May. I would like to know if we would have to pay full price for our son who is severely disabled (non-verbal and non-mobile)? Or is there anything that he may be able to access at DQ? Are there any seating areas other than the cafe?

Now, before I get flamed, we pay full price in all of the major parks as our son does have the ability to access, enjoy and participate in much of what is there. I am just asking about DQ as it appears to be a huge video arcade and while I don't mind just walking with him or sitting with him, I don't want to pay $50 for me to just sit with him while DH and DD play.

Thanks

We are in the same boat but you have to pay for the child to enter DQ. I eneded up spending the day shopping at West End and DTD with disabled DD. Then we went to a movie as there is an AMC in the West End area.
There are no discount for disabled children/adults in the World.
There are foundations which will pay for the kids to visit. Try the Sunshine Foundation or Starlight. Maybe they will help you with a pass.
Good Luck

You don't need to pay full price, there are discount tickets available. Join w.mousesavers.com for their monthly newsletter. You will get a link to discount tickets. I think I paid $21 in December. I've never paid more than that.

It is visually stimulating. Create Zone is fully accessible, and he may be able to enjoy some of those activities with you. You could create some music and it plays back, living easels, sids create a toy on screen. I believe the Pirates is fully accessible and that is a blast - best thing there. I think he can stay in chair for Aladdin if you think he can and would enjoy wearing a visual helmet. My son does this, really doesn't play but he can hear his siblings talking to him through the helmet. I hold the helmet from behind, it is heavy. There are benches throughout to sit on as well as various seating in food areas. We especially like the The Pinnacle room on top floor because it is quiet. I get "sick" on some things so I sit on the benches while the others play.

I guess it depends on his level of enjoyment and if he can be transferred. There are things he can do but if he needs the support of the chair at all times, those things probably won't work for him.

I was told by DQ CM that I had to pay the full child price to get into DQ with my disabled child. The child price is now $30.
I am interested in how you got a discount as it dosn't seem to be known by the DQ staff I spoke to.

I purchase my tickets through a ticket broker via my Mousesaver Newsletter. It has nothing to do with my DS being disabled. They are purchased in advance and they can come by mail, delivery to hotel or you can pick up. I have been buying from them for years and am holding DQ tickets now for our next trip.

I just checked and the prices have gone up - $27 for adults/$23 for child but that is still at $10 $ 8 savings, which more than pays for our lunch and drinks while inside.

How long are you going to be there for, and is your family into water parks at all? For $53.25 per person including tax you can get the "Water Parks and More" add-on to the tickets. Depending on the number of days of your base tickets, it will add between two and six entries to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Disney Quest, Wide World of Sports, and Pleasure Island. If you will be there for a week you will get five entries added to the base ticket.

Also, there is currently a promo tyhat Disney is running but I;m not sure of the exact dates and requirements, but I think May is included, where you will get both the Hopper and WP&M options added to the tickets at no extra cost.
