Do I need to take my daughters Birth Certificate?

Do I need to take my daughters Birth Certificate to WDW? She is still 9 years old but will turn 10 on August 14th. We will be at WDW in July however so she will still be 9 years old during our stay. However, my daughter is 5'3" tall so obviously she could be easily mistaken as a 10+ year old "adult". I'm sure a lot of people try to sneak by on the age thing. But, we really are following the rules but it may look like we are not. Do you think we will get questioned?

My mother always carried my birth certificate with her because other teams didn't believe my age. I am 6'9" so my daughter gets it from me.

I always bring a copy of my childrens birth certificates....Just bring it and if you don't need it, no problems!!

Have a wonderful time! I have never seen anyone get questioned before....

If a CM ever dared to ask me for a birth certificate for one of my children, I would be very insulted. I've never heard of a Disney CM asking for a birth certificate...this isn't league play, you know. You are their guest. Do you ask your guest for legal proof that they aren't lying?

Usually people just look up at me and can realize that she is just tall for her age. But, I really don't want to be hassled by some 18 year old kid that thinks he is the age police.

They won't ask for the birth certificate...some people take them and get them out on their own to show but Disney CMs won't ask. I would absolutely not bother carrying additional paperwork with me.

I would never assume someone is insinuating that I am lying by showing my son's birth certificate. In sports, you have this all the time. It is to clarify.

Our town hall let's you buy miniture BC which are laminated and have the seal on them. I carry it in my wallet. Very convenient for anyone.

My 9 yo is quite tall for his age and has huge feet! He also is reserved and is presumed to act or look older. At 9, I have no problem paying for an adult buffet. Some times he eats minimal and other times he eats furociously. It is the food and the experience I believe I'm paying for.

I took a copy of my DD's birth certificate with us last year, she was 11 & is taller than me. I offered to show CM's, they don't want to see it. They take your word for it. Alot of restaurants where I live ask if we want seperate checks when it's just me & DD!!

My kids have military IDs with their ages on them, I brought them with just to have a photo ID for my kids plus they are essentially their insurance cards. My son is very small for his age and was questioned using a ticket with biometrics going into Epcot. The CM said "oooh noo noo wait you're too little to have a ticket like that" and I pulled her aside and said "he's small for his age, I have an ID if you'd like to see it" and she said "no that's ok, I'm sorry" and that was that. I felt more comfortable having the IDs with me so if you don't have an ID for the child and you would feel more comfortable having the birth certificate, then go ahead, it can't hurt.
