We thought so too, but went in February during one of the really rainy stretches and the park was packed full of soggy people. It was miserable to be wet and waiting in long lines!I would not worry too much, but if it does rain enjoy the empty parks! Los Angelinos do not mess around with rain.![]()

Thanks! That's what I was hoping!! So excited about the mid 60 temps just don't want to be rained on...at least not a lot. We went on a day in January that it poured alllll day. It was miserable! We're so excited!!!THat rain chance will be gone by morning!
I would not think twice about that forecast for rain. If anything it will be a little misty or drizzly. And that will be mainly early morning until the marine layer burns off. This is not the type of rain that will go on for hours or be heavy!
From what I understand that used to be true, but is no longer the case since Covid. I've never been lucky enough to get a rain day on any of my trips (starting as a kid in 1982 lol).Really? That's surprising. One time I was there on a pretty drizzly day and it was a ghost town! Maybe it's the difference between the locals and the tourists.
That's also when I learned that DL has drainage problems - but, it's SoCal so they don't deal with it much. At WDW, driving showers and thunderstorms are practically daily.
Agreed ^
California doesn't really get big storms and most of our "heavy" rain is in January. Outside of then it's mostly at night and if it is during the day it's just drizzly. AK at WDW has been the worst rain I've ever seen at a Disney park and it rains every year we go. I honestly don't know that I've ever visited DL when it did anything more than drizzle.
With the reservations in place it’s not so easy to switch your days, so some rainy days are still crowded. From what I understand that used to be true, but is no longer the case since Covid. I've never been lucky enough to get a rain day on any of my trips (starting as a kid in 1982 lol).
The Weather Channel predicts a warm but cooler than normal summer but not hot and the chance of monsoon type rain and some rain from hurricanes but they said the chance of many hurricanes happening is low. They noted not a lot of rain but a lot more clouds with sun.So, woke up this morning to clouds, and shockingly, there were same day reservations available for BOTH parks as of 9:30am for a party of 3. I was about to make one, but when I went to ask my kids if they wanted to go, they said not today. About an hour later, it began drizzling steadily and it continued for like 5 hours. It finally stopped. Glad we didn't go. Maybe it didn't rain at Disneyland, but our streets were full on wet almost all morning/early afternoon.
I just saw a long range summer forecast for Southern CA and it's calling for a minor heat wave around the third week of June, but otherwise an extensive May Gray/June Gloom pattern all summer with lower than average temperatures and increased rain chances due to numerous expected Pacific hurricanes off the coast of Mexico.

Here is a (conflicting) story from the LA Times:

I suspect not a hot summer but warm and dry summer. Perfect for visiting DL.

Ha ha, I bet I know who you follow. He’s weird but he’s always spot on!The weather Channel also predicted a dry, warm winter. They were very, very wrong. TWC is about as unreliable as a toddler at predicting weather patterns. I follow a meteorologist with a much better track record.
I am not defending the TWC. Nor I am looking to get into an argument. I include d the TWC forecast as a courtesy. NOLA says warmer than normal. Accuweather says cooler in June and July then warmer. The Farmers Almanac says warmer. The weather Channel also predicted a dry, warm winter. They were very, very wrong. TWC is about as unreliable as a toddler at predicting weather patterns. My iphone app says Anaheim 67 degrees I live in NY. That is chilly for May 30th. It is 72 here.OMG, it's freezing today! All those people riding Splash Mountain are hard-core!
