Do I need to plan for dining during F&W?

We will be at my favorite place from Oct 23 - Nov 7 and am planning on using the dinning plan both regular and deluxe. Now I am wondering if I will need it when we go to Epcot and take in the Food and Wine Festival?

So you experts who regularly attend, what say you?

Many of the kiosks take the dining plan - the food counts as a snack credit. If you plan on eating at the festival, I don't know that you'll have room to eat a proper meal anywhere else at Epcot. You can see what the food offerings were last year here:

Why we just have Cs's wheel us around on carts going from resturants to resturants!

Ok that was fun! We start out staying at OKW for 2 days, then THV for 2, 4 at AKV, 3 at WV, and finish at BCV for 3 days. We will use the regular at OKW,THV, and BCV. Deluxe at AKV and WV.

If the wait list comes through it will be 4 days at THV and no OKW, but thats another story.

Just my opinion...since you are resort hopping. One of the resorts...I would go with no DP at all...just eat your way around the booths. Since you have other opportunities on your trip to use the DP and DXDP.

My upcoming Oct. trip, I'm staying at AKV CL for 3 nights with no dining plan. Sampling as many booths as I can. Then when I transfer over to BWV...that's when I will be using to the DP.

DH and I love to snack around the F&W so we make sure to do a regular light CS breakfast and snack for lunch and have a nice sit down dinner at night

The only credits useable for food and wine festival offerings are snack credits.

If you want to be able to use TS credits, yes, you should plan for table service meals in regular restaurants.

Is it for certain that snack credits can be used for the food and wine festival booths then again this year? My Dad decided to do the QS dining plan since it had 2 snack credits just for F and W...he's praying it's still the case this year! thanks:

If you go to the Epcot page you can find the listing for the food booths THIS year under the 'events' (I think) link on the right hand side.

Our plan is to eat a small meal for breakfast at the hotel and tour Future World in the morning. We have a lunch ADR for Le Cellier at 12:45pm. So we'll eat a nice big lunch then just snack around World Showcase until we feel like we're gonna explode.

I've looked over the listed items for this year and there's 48 we wanna try - not including the 'drinks'. Yea I think I'll have to figure out a way to minimize that down to about 20. Wish me luck.

Yes, the items that are eligible have the ddp symbol next to them.
