for the 4 year old kids club for my DS. I know reservations are needed at Flounders for the baby but was not sure for my 4 years old? Thanks for your help :)

You don't need to make a reservation for the Oceaneer's Club, but you do need to register your child on the first day by filling out a short form and receiving a pager and a wristband and nametag for you child. Then when you drop your child at the club they give them a colored dot to put on the nametag which designates the group they will be in that day. Later when you pick up your child they will ask for your family password and stateroom number for identification.

Thanks for the great info. In more detail what is there for my DS to do in the 4 year old club. He will be 4 months shy of 5 when we sail in October and I am wondering if they will be able enough to entertain him? Thanks !

As for activities... I have Oceaneer's Club Navigators at my web site...

Although you don't need reservations, you would do well to have your child participate on the very first evening. That's when all the kids don't know each other yet and they're working hard to make friendships. Cliques form very quickly and it's somewhat difficult for kids to feel included if their first visit to the club is later in the week.

buzz&woody'smom,

Our DS was also just a couple of month's shy of his 5th b-day when we cruised. We struggled about moving him up but ultimately left him in the 3-4 group.

Bottom line, he had a blast. Everything the kids do on the ship is so much fun. Snow White visited one night and Minnie Mouse another. He was enchanted and we had to drag him out of there each night.

I agree with others on this board about registering your child right away and having he or she participate in the initial "explore" time.
:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

What kind of nametag is it? Is it a sticker or a pin or a necklace? My child freaks when you try to put a sticker or a pin on him! Do you know what they would do in that situation?

We have a DD - 4 she will be 5 a month after we return from the cruise. Will they let her go with the group her DD - 6 will be in (5-7)? Or do I have to keep her in the 3-4?
