We are headed to the parks May 28-30th. Do we need to make reservations to get into the park or if we are on site not required?

Jenn

No. Universal does not do reservations. That's a Disney thing.
You should be counted in the capacity if you are staying onsite.

This may have been the case at one time, but they changed official policy a while ago.

It currently states:
Will hotel guests be turned away if the theme parks reach capacity?
Hotel guests will be given priority entrance to theme parks during our phased reopening. We encourage our hotel guests to take advantage of their Early Park Admission benefit to access the parks prior to our daily opening to the general public, and we will accommodate hotel guests on a priority basis in the parks throughout the day.

So priority entry, but NOT guaranteed entry.

Memorial Day (Monday 5/31 ) .You are visiting during a holiday weekend
I would take advantage of the Early Entry if you are staying on site.
And end of school year for Orange & Osceola School Districts in Florida!

I've posted that link before on here too. :) Obviously the official word. But, it seems like they keep changing things. Somewhere else showed pictures of what the actual entrance signs said and I swear there was a hotel line. I can't find it anywhere so, OP, refer to the official wording as pp shared.

Even with early entry, get in line early since everyone is admitted then early entry people go through a second checkpoint. Made the mistake of walking from Hard Rock a half hour before early entry. Took us a half hour after getting in one of the lines that stretched back to Citywalk just to get into the park last month and made it onto Hagrids 15 minutes after official park open and this was on a Wednesday.
