Do I need reservations?

My family is going to DW for our first time for a week in August. We have a 6 yr old boy, 3 yr old girl and 9 month old. Eating in a sit down restaurant is not exactly our idea of fun so we did not get the DDP. We'll be staying in a studio at Old Key West so I think we'll be able to just eat a quick breakfast each morning (we'll be ordering from Garden Grocer based on a tip I got here!).

Do I have to select restaurants to eat at each night or can we just go to a restaurant in Downtown Disney or at the hotel without reservations? Will my 3 year old have enough opportunity to meet Cinderella at the park?

Thanks!
Holly

You would be better off having at least a couple of Table service (TS) restaurant ADRs (advanced dining reservations) for your trip. Disney has really been pushing the DDP - we don't use it either, but it is extremely popular, and is even offered free for the end of August thru Sept - which has resulted in most people having ADRs.

You may find yourself out of luck getting into some restaurants - something you don't want to do if you and your clan are hot and tired! You don't want to schlep around, trying to find some place to eat - with AC!!!!

Make the ADRs, you can always cancel them if you don't use them. No harm done!

Can't help you with the Cindy question - I'm sure she appears at places other than Cinderella's Royal Table in MK, but I'm not sure where.
