Do I need reservations for the Rose and Crown PUB?

My DH and I decided to take a quick weekend getaway January 26-29 . We have never eaten at the Rose and Crown and were intrigued by their pub menu, but not so much the dining room menu. If I make reservations for the dining room, can we eat the pub menu? Or is the pub first come first served?

The pub is first come first served and is very popular.

You can order from the pub menu for the actual restaurant though. Or, at least you used to be able to do so. Just ask them for the pub menu.

I like the Pub corned beef sandwich, and I order it (and eat it) in the Pub.

Just know that the Pub only has 4-5 small tables and it is most often difficult to snag one. I love the Scotch Egg.

If the Pub is so crowded that I can't get a table, I ask for my sandwich to go. Then I sit on a bench in Canada in front of Off Kilter's stage and eat it. :teeth:

How about the drinks?? Can you get a drink to go? I am excited to try some of their beer mixes (a shandy in particular- yum!).

All drinks in World Showcase can be transported in "to go" aka plastic cups. Just tell the bartender you want it to go.

Our Ratings of Rose & Crown Pub:
. . . food price value: B
. . . food quality: B
. . . food quantity per serving: B
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: A
. . . staff attentiveness: C
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: The bar/lounge/pub area is classic Engish with a great
selection of beer and spirits. Additionally, the piano player is
excellent. Overall a good location for drinking and snacking,
but only so-so for meals, as the bar has its own menu and
you can't order from the resraurant. There are four sit-down
tables and three stand tables, all are first-come-first-served,
no ADR's. But, you can always order and go outside to eat.

A few questions ...
Can you eat in the dining room and still order the beer flights and food from the pub menu?
If you eat in the pub, can you use the dining plan?

Thanks. :)

You can order flights in the main dining room.

The pub does not accept the dining plan. You can buy fish and chips next door at the kiosk with dining credits, bring them in and eat in the pub, but you can't order them in the pub and pay there with dining credits.

In the twenty-five years we've patronized the R&C, during every season and all kinds of weather, we've seen that traffic ebbs and flows, sometimes dramatically. You can walk in at 1 p.m. and be surrounded by people at the bar three feet thick but if you wait twenty minutes you'll have the place to yourself, probably a table too. My advice: if you've got thirty minutes, be patient.

For obvious reasons, it's also more crowded when dinner starts.

Thanks! Out of all the places we are going to eat on our upcoming trip, I am looking forward to this one the most.

Great advice and very true.
