Do I need Express Pass

Hello -

We will be going to US/IOA for one day mid September. Two adults...probably either Tues, Weds or Thurs (9/11 - 9/13). We will definitely go first thing in the morning.

Would we need to get the Express Pass to see most of the main attractions?

Is it possible to buy them there (if it seems really crowded when we arrive)?

I know we won't be able to do everything in one day and don't want to spend the $$$ if it isn't really necessary. I went two years ago at the end of August and I don't recall wait times being terrible. I seem to remember using their version of a fast pass a few times though. Is that still offered? I don't really see mention of it anywhere on the boards here.

Thanks so much for any help to this US/IOA newbie! :)

You probably won't need them, you can buy them at the park if you think the crowds are high

It was quite crowded this past week but we managed fine without Express. The longest waits for us were Shrek and ET but we bypassed Earthquake and Twister. We got to Mummy, Spiderman and MIB very early and got on pretty quickly. We also chose not to get drenched and skipped those rides but be warned, they looked very busy.

Get to the parks early and hit the big rides. Use single lines when you can too.

Thanks for the responses! My DBF has never been so he won't know if we miss anything. I think next time I'm going to need to plan more time for Universal....maybe split the stay between the two spots and stay at HRH.
