Do I need an actual resort reservation to make my ADR's?

I have a pretty solid idea of when we want to go and am thinking about planning it. Most important is dining (at least right now) so I was thinking about making my ADR's but didn't know if I could. I know they changed some things with the dining plan.

No, you do not, but you will not be able to use the 180+10 on-site guest perk. If you want reservations for multiple days, you will have to either (1) call every day when it is 180 days out from when you want to dine or (2) wait until it's 180 days from the last day you want to dine and make them all that day.
