Do I need a grand gathering?

There are 9 people in 3 rooms going in December. Hopefully we'll be able to get studios at AKV at 7 months. I think we want rooms near each other. (I'm not sure yet. Maybe the further away from each other the better.) How do I request that we get rooms near each other. MS said that the ressies couldn't be linked.

I booked two AKV studios today for December and the CM asked if I wanted to request that they were close to eachother. I said yes, so she put a request on the reservation. It was easy. I hope you get the reservations you want!

It is my understanding that if you are registered as a grand gathering you are more likely to get rooms close to each other. Just call member services and they will assign you a GG number and send it to you in an email. We are doing this for our trip in May. Good luck!

We were able to get 5 villas near each other at BWV when we had a GG number. My worst luck for getting villas near each other has been at VWL.

Thanks for the tip on getting the GG number to assist in getting rooms near each other. We are planning a trip in 3 villas with extended family next year and want to be near each other if possible.

We just did a GG (16) at WL and it didn't make any difference as far as getting our rooms together, but it did help with things like meal reservations because you could just give them the GG number and they could search for restaurant openings based on that. That was very helpful.
