Is it possible to walk up and wait for a table? Ive waited until the last minute and was just wondering.

I'm sure you can try to go there and wait, but you can also try to call now & see if they have any openings - and that way you can plan out your time in WDW a little better & not waste too much time sitting around.

Chef Mickeys has breakfast & dinner, and a LOT of seating, so hopefully you'll get a PS.

Good luck!

I think we've all gotten used to the softer tourism ,but those days are ebbing away. As I am calling now for our trip at the 90 days mark, I am finding I can't get some of my preferred time slots already! And the CMs did tell me that one of the more popular places is Chef M's. Now that said, I should note that it also depends upon your party size. I think a twosome or even foursome stand a fair chance of a table -- or at least certainly better than larger parties (we have a family of five... and often travel with MORE family, making us sometimes a party of 8, 9, or 13!)

I think I would make a call just to see what's open. No harm in doing this, and it lets you know in the here and now if you need to develop a "Plan B" just in case you can't get in.

Yes, you do. Chef Mickey's is very very busy at breakfast. It is a character one.

Yep, you best have one! This place can get very full quickly. Once when we were staying at CR, and had PS's for Chef Mickey's ourselves, I over heard one of the CM's seating people tell somenoe who had just walked up and was trying to get in, that the wait was going to be 1 hour plus. Needless to say they didn't stay. I make PS's know matter what time of the year we go. Some like to wing it, but not us. You don't mess with my character meals!!

Yes, it would be adviseable. I would never go to Chef Mickey's without a priorty seating. It is very crowded and very popular.

I was able to get a PS for dinner at Chef Mickeys for Memorial Day evening just this week for a party of 3. I have tried to get a same day PS before and was not able to get any time at all. Go ahead and give it a shot before you go.

We were NOT able to get PSs for Chef Mickeys for this past weekend. Granted I only started calling about 14 days out so it was my own fault, but it did take me by suprise!

I didn't get breakfast, but I did get a dinner ps! :cheer2:

While we all believe in the magic of Disney, I would strongly suggest that you book a PS whenever possible or you will find yourself spending more time waiting then enjoying the magic! ::MickeyMo

I'd also strongly recommend a PS. Maybe since the meals are all charactor meals you could try for both breakfast & dinner. Or if all else fails be one of the first in line when it opens. Good Luck!
