Express Checkout is what you want. They will charge everything to the card you leave on file and will hang a receipt of those charges on the door handle the morning of check out.

If you have left a credit card, then you do not need to go to the desk. They will hang your bill on your door during the night and you can just leave.

Staying at a Disney does NOT require any plastic of any kind at any time. Period.

They do NOT ask you to leave a card "on file" for "security" or "incidentals."

They do NOT require that you have a card on file to simply get a room at all.

You can still set up a room charge with cash, travelers checks, Disney Dollars, or a debit card with VISA/MC logo.

But without plastic, you do need to go to the front desk to check-out on checkout day. WITH plastic, you can just get up and leave without ever having to stop by the front desk.

It is so sad...on that morning...when you wake up and find your envelope on your door.... I always feel bad when we walk around the resorts and see people who have this on their door already..I totally dread that part of our trip!!

Our last two on site stays involved packages so that was paid before we got there. We do not put charging privileges on our KTTW card. At the end of our stay I don't believe we get anything. We just leave.

It doesn't have to be a credit card #. It can be your debit card # too. (I've seen some people get that confused) I feel much safer using the KTTW card for our purchases and then them charging my debit card at the end of the trip. I carry a little cash with me, but I wouldn't want to carry all of it and I don't want to leave it in the room safe either. Once cash is lost, it is gone forever. But if you lose your KTTW card, you can just go to the desk, tell them you lost it, and they will create you a new one in a matter of seconds. DH card had its magnetic strip damaged while we were there last time. They just printed him another one right up.

Funny!!! I am glad that there are others like me.....sometimes I feel kind of crazy about some of my disney "issues", that I tend to keep them to myself!! My family already thinks I'm nuts!!!
