Do I have to drop bags off?

We're staying at POFQ this May. This is our first time there. It's my understanding that upon arrival, you drop off your bags with the porter. After checkin and arriving at your room, you call to have your bags delivered. Is this necessary? I'd rather not have to wait 30 - 60 minutes for our bags. We want to get to the room, unpack and head over to DTD.

You can drop off your bags if your room isn't ready, otherwise, you can take them to the room yourself. If our room isn't ready when we arrive, we usually just leave the bags in the car until it is instead of waiting for someone to bring them up.

We usually take the earliest possible flight into MCO. We go straight to the resort to check in so it's usually too early for our room to be ready. They keep our bags in a baggage room until we return from the parks. Then we just call and they deliver them to us.

If you're room isn't ready you can leave them in your car. Just remeber FL is hot and the possiblity of items melting is very good. If your room is ready you can take them to your room yourself
