Do I have to check out??

During the week we are in Universal, we are actually double booked for one night (@ HR & Nick Hotel) - had to do that in order to get discounted rooms at HR, now we are not sure as to if we are going to check into Nick & end up sleeping at HR or visa versa, but do I physically had to go to the desk at HR to check out on that day or can we just leave (cc will be on file for any charges)??

I normally just leave unless there is a question on he bill. The bill will be slipped under the door in the middle of the last night. Besides I always pay cash when we arrive so there is no extra charges to be had. I don't use room charging and refuse the minibar key.
