Do I have to cancel the whole thing and start over?

I was only able to get a room discount to show up at Poly booking a 9-day span. Can I take a day off on either side now and keep my discount or do I have to cancel the whole week? It's so weird how the week wouldn't show up as available but by adding a day on either side, it was!?!

You'll most likely loose the discount. You won't be able to modify it yourself and keep the discount unless the room shows up as available for that shorter time. If you call it seems recently they have been escalating it to guest relations and GR has been telling people they will modify it as a one time thing but that the new policy is any change is treated as a cancellation and rebooking.

The pp is correct. In the past, it wasn't a problem taking nights off, but Disney has changed that policy. In order to modify and keep the discount, the shorter stay must be available under the discount as if it were a new booking. If there is no availability for the shorter stay and you modify, you will lose the discount. As the pp mentioned, you could try speaking to guest services to see if they will make the adjustment, while allowing you to keep the discount. Good luck!

If the shorter stay was available for the discount you would have been able to book it to begin with. Disney no longer allows simply dropping days. You will loose the discount unless it is now available for the shorter stay.
