she knows she needs to apply for the card

use it once get the statement

make payment and order the card and get the rewards card

were going on the DLC in Feb

do we have time to do all this

I wish Id get an offer like this!!!!

She should have her card in the mail within a week of being approved. Then it will take one billing cycle after she makes her first purchase for those rewards dollars to show up on her account. Once they do, she can order the rewards card. It will take around a week to ten days for the card to arrive in the mail. If it all falls together correctly then you shouldnt have a problem having that rewards card in time for your trip. But if it take a while for her to be approved or if her first purchase falls after the closing date on her first billing period then it will be cutting it pretty close.

My DH and I both applied for this offer....we got our card quickly and made 1 purchase each on the cards. we received our bonus gift card within a week or 2 from the purchase. They did not wait for us to get a bill! I actually just got the bill this week. I have had the bonus cards for almost 2 weeks now....

It depends on what the offer was. If they offered gift cards and not rewards points then you get the gift cards shortly after the purchase is made. But if they offered rewards points then you cant redeem them until your next statement is generated.

When I called to activate my visa card, they told me what my closing date was and asked me if the date was OK. For your mom, when she calls to activate the card she could ask for the closing date to be within the next week, then she could go out and make a purchase and then pay it off right away. The rewards dollars should show up as soon as that billing cycle ends.
