Do I have this right?

I have a few 7-day hoppers from Undercover Tourist.

The Disney cost for those are $540 pre-tax.

I am a DVC member. We are planning to go again next late May.
If I upgrade to the gold pass, DVC rate is $609 pre-tax
So I am looking at only (roughly) $69 each to upgrade these for the 2 DVC members.

And for the non-DVC members, They are $894, so it would be $354 for them to upgrade?

If I look at this year's price, a 4-day ticket for late May is about $540 pre-tax, so it makes sense to upgrade these either way?

As DVC members, we always plan our trips to get 2-3 trips from an AP (we often go twice a year).
If you can plan the second trip within the year of your AP, it definitely makes sence to upgrade.

I think the black out dates have not changed much. This year it was December 20 – 31 2018; January 1 – 3 April 13 – 26 2019.

I concur with others- the blackout dates are typically around the same time every year, and if you can get a second trip in during the year it's definitely worth the upgrade. Alternately, if you were planning on paying for Memory Maker that makes up for some of the price difference as well (I don't count it as a savings unless I was already planning on paying OOP for it).

Non-DVC members who live in your home (and have proof that they live at that address, and are immediate family) also qualify for the discounted pass. For example, if you and your spouse are members then any children who reside with you can also be upgraded at the DVC price. Limit is 8 people per household, I believe.
