OK, so I go to Disney 12 days :hyper: and I am not sure if I saved enough. I have 1200.00 in ING, 100.00 in disney money and some meal vouchers. I am going for eight days/7nights. I have one ps at chef mickey's. Just need some opinon, if I don't have how can save more in 12 days? Thank you for the help.

Stay safe every one in Fla.:wave2:

Duh...........................I forgot that most important part it is, me my DH and DS (4). Hotel and air fare paid for. Thanks for your post.

If your park tickets are coming from that 1200 Id say NO you dont have enough saved
If that 1200 is mostly for food Id say you have enough

Have you purchased your park passes? If not, what kind will you be purchasing and what part of your budget are you setting aside for them? I would say you have plenty of money if your passes are already paid for, but perhaps not enough if they are not.

We are a family of three, and we generally spend about $800-$900 on food for a week at WDW. We do at least one nice sit-down meal per day. We rarely buy souveniers, so about $100 does it there. We add in another couple hundred for our town car transfer and tips, bringing our family total to about $1100-$1200 per trip, excluding our resort/airfare/park ticket costs.

yeah my park tickets are also paid for. We took are income tax money we got back and got the 5+2 plan. and then I tried to save 50.00 a week. I had fourteen hundred but took two out for the disney money and vouchers. Thanks everyone:)

Do you have your park hopper passes? How many days or are they ultimate hoppers? Are you staying on-site?

Do you eat large meals? 3 meals a day or do you have small breakfasts etc?

Do you spend a lot on souveniers?

Some ideas to help you conserve the money you have:

buy small snacks to carry in a fanny pack or backpack so that you don't get too hungry and don't have to buy the expensive snacks. Carry your own water bottle too.

If possible eat breakfast in your room. Get a ref. (if available at your hotel) and keep snacks/breakfast food.

make sure you have all the neccessities you need before you go. Film, tylenol, band aids, etc are really expensive in the parks. Also make sure you have the right clothes for the time of year you are going. Buying sweatshirts or rain ponchos on the spur of the moment costs more.

Plan to have a great time and make "mental" memories instead of spending lots on souveniers. A couple of specials things is really enough when you are on a tight budget. You can even buy less expensive Disney shirts before you go and pack to have while you are there.

Have a great time!

We did get a ref. in the room and also bought some souveniers for the disney store when they had that big sale, my mom is driving up before me and she is packing them in the car so i don't have to take them on the plane. Also, most of the time me and DH eat breakfast and dinner, not luck and DS is a light eater too.

you didn't say if you were staying on site or off or if you will have a car. If you are staying off site or if you have a car you have pleny to money if you eat breakfast in the room, and some dinners off-site. If you plan on eating all you meals in the park, you may be tight. We like to have one sit down meal a day and find it much cheaper to eat that meal off site.

I am staying on site and have mears transfers. I am not renting a car because my parents are driving up and we can use their car. I really appreciate all the advice everyone, I have not been to Disney in some time and this is the first time with a child. But we definitely plan on going every year now on. :teeth:

I think you are totally fine...I think $100 a day with some grocery supplements (snacks for room and park, water bottle, and perhaps some quick breakfasts..$200max) you will be totally fine.

We did Chef Mickey too (I hope you have a late PS -we used it like a brunch, and it was FANTASTIC), we also ate at the Beirgarten, various counter service and the POR food court. We split a few meals (eg the kids and I would split a adult breakfast at POR and I would get an extra side of meat..the 3 of us had a great meal less than $10). I did do the Double Burger at Cosmic Ray's, and got the extra bun. You can really make a big dent in the price that way, but i did not make a salad out of the condiments. The only thing I put on the CC was HDDR, but that was planned. Our total at checkout was $1000. We did not cut back on too much. The kids (2) both got to pick out 2 sov's each plus they each got 4 pins each...so I think that total was around $90. that was on our room charge along with all food except HDDR.

So I would say ...YES you have more than enough. $1300 + some meals covered...is just over $54 dollars a day per person. I don't think a 4yo can eat that much:p If you still are having any doubts check out the menus at allears, and see the best place to use your voucher, and the best places to spend your money. Don't forget about Trail's End...plenty of raves about that!!!

I hope you have a great time!!! Let me know how you did. My boys at 5 yo loved sandwich bags of trail mix, a bagel, granola bar, and M&M's on line for rides. We brought a Brita water bottle, which was great...we only had soda with our meals, and bagels, peanut butter, mini muffins, fruit, and other snacks were a big hit in the room.

I hope you did mention your sons B-Day when booking your PS, and don't forget to stop at Town Hall for his pin!!:bday:

Thanks for the advice canwegosoon
I did not metion my DS's birthday for chef mickeys. I was alittle unsure if I should do anything in WDW for his birthday because you see we are going for his birthday, but not on his birthday, because we could not all get off at that time.(His b-day is really 10/05/04). I just don't want to confuse him:confused:.

Thanks again for everything.
P.S. Went and got 50 more disney dollars:hyper:
