Do I have a chance?

Hi all~

Since this is a relatively spur-of-the-moment trip planned for us (only decided to go 8 weeks ago), I was unable to get most of the ADR's for the restaurants that I wanted. We're leaving in one week and doing the DDP. I'm still calling every other day, but is there any chance that will people will cancel this close to date? Also, should I keep trying for ADR's even once we get there?

I would say keep checking!!! Even that day go up and ask! What are your dates of travel?

Hi Laura!
The answer is yes, and yes!

Keep trying now and keep trying after you're there! You'll notice on the prompts that there are two sections -- one for those at Disneyworld or going within one week and one for everyone else. We've been fortunate many times to get ADRs while down there. I use 407-WDW-DINE.

People do cancel at the last minute, so don't give up. If you're trying for anything with the princesses you'll have to hit it just right, so since you're this close to your trip I would recommend calling everyday.

Keep an eye on these two threads from people cancelling (and looking for) ADRs:

Watch those closely over the coming days and jump on the phone if you see any openings!

Oh also, I'm guessing a lot of people will be cancelling the ADRs which require a credit card as they won't want to be stuck with having to pay. Akershus is one which requires 48 hours cancellation, not sure of the others.

I'm sure you'll get openings. Last but not least, keep checking from your hotel room too! Good luck!

Thanks guys! I knew you'd have the answers. We'll be there one week from today (WOOHOO!) so I'll try every day until then and then try once we get there.

Also, has anyone ever ridden the boat from MK to WL? We do have one lunch ADR for Whispering Canyon (wanted dinner but couldn't get it). The ADR lady told me I could take a boat from MK to WL. Where is that?

The boat launch docks are just ouside the exit to the MK between the busses and the monorail station. There are 3 docks- ferry to the TTC, the Polynesian/ Grand Floridian launch, and the Wilderness Lodge/Contemporary launch.

If it makes you feel better, I just booked a trip for mid November and called today to make ADRs. Nothing was available for our party of 6, at least not if I wanted to eat before 845pm. I booked what I could and plan to keep calling too. Good luck!
