Do I Bust My DH's Bubble or Not ?

This April is our Anniversary and I was going to surprize my DH with a 3 night cruise on DCL. I was going to get the Vow renewal package and everything !!

OK, well today I found out that my DH has a DCL reservation already for our Anniversary

So should I Bust DH's Bubble and TELL him I know? Do I act surprized when he does finally tell me? or Do I keep my reservation since they are for different weeks?


What would you do ??

Seriously, that is SO incredibly sweet! See if you can keep his secret for him, and plan something that will surprise him onboard. Have a blast!

Don't tell him and act suprised. He probably put a lot of thought into it. Keep your ressie if you want or cancel it and go with another week...

OR start talking about how cool it would be to do a vow renewal on a cruise (dropping hints).

As much as I my DH, he isn't very bright, when it comes to finding things out.

I actually found out about his plan, because he called my friend's co worker to book the cruise. He doesn't know what Travel Agency my friend works for. He didn't go through my friend, affraid she'd tell me.. but she knows of me through my friend and all our traveling. So when my friend and I were talking, the co worker overheard us, called my friend over and my friend started to laugh. She then advised me to switch my plans or at least the week I chose.

Since he's a guy but was STILL willing to plan something - I'd throw him a bone and let him have the anniversary. Keep quiet and cancel the other ressies. (Or move them to another time! )

OMG!!!! I would be SOOOOO happy, and yes, shocked and surprized, if my DH did anything like that!!! How wonderful and romantic!!!

Okay, since the scoop is out... I would act VERY surprised and happy!!! But, then, I would have some great things planned to surprise my DH... I don't know if it would be a vow renewal (probably not DH's kind of thing....) But, definately something wonderful and romantic... I know that people have planned all kinds of special events, even proposals, onboard.

Since your friend already knows that you know, they should be able to help you work around any plans that your DH has made.

How can wait till April!!!

yep i second the act shocked and surprised!then tell him you got him the same thing and since they are on different weeks go on both!see you get 2 vacations for the surprise of one.

My dh planned a surprise trip to Maui for our 10 year anniv. and my dad let it slip. This was months before the trip. I told dh I knew. But I didn't tell him that I found out about the vow renewal he had also planned, but in the end he knew I knew. He should have known sooner since I was shopping for a dress for it beforehand! It's hard for me to keep a secret from dh, good luck keeping it if you decide not to tell him you know!

Why don't you book some time at WDW after you get back or even the cruise following the one your DH booked. That way you could surprise him when you tell him that you aren't getting off the ship yet. Be sure to pack a few extra outfits for DH in your suitcase.

My DH owns a Heating and A/C company, he can't be away for a long time. So a Thursday - Sunday cruise is all he can do..

I think I am going to cancel my reservations and like I said do the Vow renewal package and have the room decorated and a cake waiting..
