Do you heating blankets make you have weird dreams? I had a weird dream last night. . . where my house was on fire but it did not burn down and we did not call the fire department because it was just smoke.. I know weird but does this happen to anyone else?

No, but every time I fall asleep with the light on, I dream that I'm being blinded by the sun.

Well I do know that my cousins heating blanket caught on fire. He was o.k. just had singed eyebrows and a little burn on his arm. Just made me sure of why we dont own an electric blanket.

If I were having dreams that I was ON FIRE I think I would go without the electric blanket!!! Maybe you don't need it! A little TOO HOT perhaps?

Sounds like you need to turn it down when you go to sleep.

I pre-heat mine, but then crank it down to 1 when I climb in---it's just enough to keep me from running into cold spots at night. Otherwise, I'd probably be having dreams like that too!

Electric blankets have always creeped me out. And it amazes me that people will rant and rave about living near powerlines and then crawl underneath an electrified blanket to sleep.

I think that is a good idea to preheat it. but i always forget. i think that i might not use it much i am not sure haha.
