Do Guys Really Do This?

Every time a man goes into a men's room on TV, he seems drawn to the sink to rinse off his face. Do real men do this? I understand that some women reapply their makeup in the rest room, but none would ever be caught, randomly washing her face to start from scratch.

My theory is that it's for dramatic affect, but, having never observed men in a public restroom, I may be off base.

I've done it before -- not very often, but sometimes I need to splash some water in my face to wake up a little. :)

I've done this (occasionally) to wake up or cool off.

Uh, nope. I can't remember actually doing this. Only time I splash water on my face is in the shower and in the swimming pool.

Oh, and sometimes my kids splash me when I'm giving them a bath. :)

The funny thing is that the guys on TV and in movies don't do this because they want to wake up, they do it because they are having a bad day. Like some water in their face will change everything and make it better.

Oh, and why do the restrooms that they go in ALWAYS have paper towels? I had a bad allergic reaction to sunscreen on my face yesterday at Dorney Park. I had to wash my face to stop the burning. No towels, just those air blower things that don't dry your hands quickly. (And, they definitely don't work well on your face.)

Actually all mens rroms have attendants with heated cloth towels, aftershaves and colognes. I like getting my shoes shined while I'm in there as well. Don't the ladies rooms have these things?:p

It must be a conspiracy! First they only give us 2 stalls when they know that 1,000 women will be at the venue that day, then they don't give us an attendant to fluff us! The conspiracy continues by not showing this on TV mens' rooms.

LOL! And the guy who is in the bathroom is almost always in there by himself! There's never any other guys in the bathroom! Amazing!

Some of the nicer mens rooms have a the driving range and pracrice green so sure, it is refreshing to splash a little water on your face.

I have done this from time to time. Usually when I am at places like WDW to rinse off of the excess sweet and salt and such on my face. It does refresh me for a minute or 2.  :teeth:

So that's what takes you guys so long... I always thought that they provided reading material for you in there.

Sounds like I've been picking the wrong bathrooms!!

Heated towels, fluffers, driving ranges -- I miss out on all the good stuff!! :( :(

I'll fluff you, Steve

Of course. You get warmer towels and better tee times that way.

I wonder if someone has information on how I can make some of those nice fluffer tipping envelopes for the fluffers. :p

I thought men were supposed to be more low-key about offering tips. You may scare away the fluffer if the envelope is too nice.
