A member can purchase a LOS/UMP ticket at a 10% discount. The policy is for the member to be present and to purchase the tickets for all in the party. There have been reports of these rules being "bent" to accomodate special circumstances. The LOS is the only ticket that DVC members get any discount on with the exception of a discount on one-day tickets for PI and the water parks.
I believe that the individual also needs to be listed on the reservation. In other words, if you have a Studio or 1B, they won't let you get the UPH for 5 adults since the room has a max occupancy of 4.
We have APs. My parents are coming as our guests, but we have them booked in their own studio and their names are on their reservation. Will they be able to get discounted UPHs without us?

If their names are on the reservation, they shouldn't have a problem getting the discount. Whenever guests stay on DVC points, their room keys are imprinted "DVC Member" and they can utilize all of the applicable DVC discounts throughout WDW.
