Do Gingers migrate to WDW?

DS won't tell me. darn him.

"They" say that red hair is on the way out, but I dunno. DS is a quarter Korean with no one closer than a grandparent who had red hair (though sometimes near the sea my hair will look reddish), and he has copper hair. And I've noticed many other part-Asian kids with similar hair to his. So I think the scientists aren't opening their eyes!

I'm just glad he has embraced his hair and the easy ability to trick or treat as Ron weasley (made even better by my first name)...much easier than when he thought he was Harry!

Sorry, if we told you we would have to kill you! :lmao:

In my family, the "ginger" gene is very strong. My SIL is Peruvian, dark hair, dark eyes, and yet both of my nephews have the most gorgeous dark copper hair.

DD was very blond when she was born (much to DH's delight :rolleyes1 ) but as she has gotten older there is a definite red tint to her dark blond...ha!

I have never noticed a large number of gingers at WDW but now I know I will be looking next time we go.

And OP, tell your DD Redheads Rule the World! :rotfl:

Not liking a hair color is just weird. I might feel sorry for someone b/c their hair isn't as vibrant and beautiful as mine, though. ;) I pay a lot now to ensure my hair remains the same color it was when I was a teen.

Oh...my DD would agree with you wholeheartedly!! She changed schools this year and it is full of gingers....she said that she has found her new home!

To those who haven't noticed all of the gingers at WDW....bet you will now!! :lmao::rotfl:

I'd never heard the term "ginger" until here today. :)[/QUOTE]

In Australia my niece and 2 nephews get called either 'ginger' or 'ranga' after orangutans.
Needless to say none of them are fond of the nicknames as they are usually used in a derogatory way around here.

I shall have to tell them about the secret club in Disney:hug:

I've been a bottle ginger since I was 15 (I'm now fifty-fourteen) and I can't count the number of times I've been asked if it's my natural color as "it's so beautiful" with my coloring. I always say "yes." I figure anyone rude enough to ask deserves to be lied to!

Both DDs have followed in my footsteps - gingers rule!:lmao:

DS says because Gingers burn at the beach, so WDW is the place to be for fun AND shade, lol.

Hmmmm...maybe she is on to something. We moved here when DS was 6 months (now 11 months). He has red hair. Which itself is odd because DD has white blonde hair while DH and I have dark brown hair as does everyone else in our generation, and our parents generation. Those blonde and red genes have been dormant for some time.

Personally, I never noticed. But my guess is we stand out so it may seem to get noticed more. :confused3

You all can come join my family :) red hair is on both sides of my family. A friend of DH is a lone redhead in his family. He was in awe at our wedding and said he had never been in a room with so many other redheads. Sadly neither of my girls have the red hair :(

My DD has truely embraced her gingerness just this year. After years of being stopped everywhere we go to have a compliment on her lovely hair color and her not liking it to be pointed out - her new high school friends were calling her "Ginger" and she opted to go for it and changed her Facebook name from Molly to Ginger - personally I think Molly was as good as gold or was that fire ;)

I think it is because everyone is envious of our beautiful hair color, so they notice it.....they all wish they could be ginger, auburn, red-headed...or whatever you call it....

I thought this thread was going to be about orangish tabby cats because I've never heard of people being called Gingers, only cats!

I had never heard of gingers until South Park. I don't think that the term is used around here often.

That being said, if it involves a secret Disney club, I would so be a ginger! :goodvibes

Funny I never noticed an abundance of gingers at WDW. Would love to join them though. Always thought it was a lovely color. Maybe I should consider it now that I am getting my fair share of gray.:laughing::thumbsup2

Well, I am a "ginger" as well. I have also been a brunette and a blonde at various times and by far I get much more attention and compliments on my hair as a red head.

I think there are more redheads in the US. Whenever I go to Europe there are very few of us. Sometimes I am the only one I see on the entire trip.

See you all at the Ginger Convention! ;)

Well it's been a while since I've been there but I seem to remember some guys running around saying something like "Bring us the redhead".

I LOVE redheads. And envy them. I was born with strawberry blonde hair and overtime it gre darker. I have never been able to obtain a natural redhair look. I love freckels (sp) that usually goes along with the Ginger hair color.

We just had a ginger baby! I have no clue where it came from, the other kids have dark eyes and hair but we have a bright blue eyed, red haired baby. We named her Scarlett. Our other kids had darker complexions even when they were babies. Our ginger baby burns if she is even near a window and has the most sensitive, pasty white skin I have ever seen on a baby. I am pregnant again, so I wonder what this one will look like!
