Do GA residents still get FL rate?

A month or so ago, I went on Universal Orlando website to book hotel and in the small print it stated that FL resident rates were available with valid FL and GA id. I booked a room at HRH at the FL resident rate of $169. Now, when I go on the website, it states FL id, nothing about GA. I am GA resident, am I going to be able to get my rate at check-in?

I believe the rate does apply to both FL and GA residents. Give the hotel a call to make sure though. 407-503-2000.

I'm in Atlanta and I booked a FL rate for the RPR for Memorial Day weekend this past Friday. I called and asked if there were any "specials for GA residents" and was given the FL rate. I was told to present a GA ID when I check in.

Hope this helps.

I made reservations for a friend of mine yesterday. They did offer the Florida/Georgia Resident Rate for her.

HRH - June 12th - GV at $199 per night.

I think that was $60 off the rack rate. :thumbsup2

Great, this makes me feel much better! I did find where I printed out the page that stated FL and GA i.d. valid from the Universal Orlando website. I booked June 2 -4 at HRH for $169, $60 savings even over AAA.

This is great. I just called & changed my Portofino Bay reservation over Memorial Day weekend from AAA rate of 231.20 each day to $189.00 & $169.00. What a deal! :cool1:

Thank you!! Thank you!!! Thank you!! I'm a GA resident and after reading this thread I called and checked on the GA/FL Resident rate for September 17-23. Turns out I can get Sun-Thurs at $219 and Fri at $249. So I booked it! :goodvibes

One reason that is so great is because I was see that same rate for the APH rate, but now I don't have to buy an AP, so I can do the Costco 3 month pass.

OK, I know I'm rambling, but I'm getting even more excited (if that's possible) now that I've actually booked the room!!!

Thanks again!!!

Yes, isn't that great? I was also told by a USF operator that AL residents also get the same rate as FL and GA residents.

Does this apply to packages as well? We have the play for four package booked at HRH right now. Also, is this always offered or only during special times?

Packages don't get discounted room rates, sorry. :guilty: Resident rates are offered periodically (not sure if there is always a resident rate at any given time). But, the resident rates do change at times. One Florida resident rate started out at $209, then decreased to $129 as the date got closer, so keep checking.

I am a alabama resident and i have called twice about the GA/Fl rate also being for alabama and was told both times it was only for GA/Fl...

I wish it was also for Alabama

I called the regular # for Universal reservations. I was told that maybe a couple of years ago, maybe they have changed their policy? Sorry if I gave out wrong info, but that was what I was told at the time.
