Sorry, I couldn't figure out a better forum to ask this question. Some states sell liquor in Walmart and or grocery stores, is Florida one of them?

From a post I read recently, officially the liquor stores are separate from stores, BUT some of the grocery stores are connected to a liquor store. It's kind of both. (unlike what we deal with!)

Yes.

I know that Publix and Walmart sell beer and wine. Truthfully, I've never noticed whether they sell hard liquor.

Lol I know, right? And our liquor taxes are ridiculous! It's just looking mote and more like we are staying at Ft Wilderness for our Disney portion if our trip and I don't want to have to rent a golfcart and drive to get a drink.

I live in Florida. Virtually every grocery store and convenience store sells beer and wine because it's completely legal here for them to sell it. There doesn't have to be a "connected" liquor store. But we do have liquor stores, too.

If they sell it, it is technically sold in a separate store, though it would be adjacent to the store when available.

All stores sell beer and wine. In SOME municipalities (maybe even in some counties), this may have limited sales hours on Sunday.

Where I used to live, the Publix was this way. Then they built a larger store across the street. When the moved, the hours were no longer restricted on Sunday. They were officially in another "city" and the ordinance was different.

Winn Dixie and Publix often have a liqour stir attached. If you are looking to purchase spirits, their websites should help you find those locations that have an attached liqour store.

Its has more to do with the county than the state.

The county I live in does sell bear but not wine or the hard stuff and no bars at all , kind of a "soft" dry county I guess

the county I work in sells wine and beer in wall mart and has bars

We have a lot of ABC stores. It might be easier to use Google to find a convenient one.

My publix has beer and wine in the store and then a separate liquor store next door for the hard stuff. I've seen them all open on Sundays, so I don't think they're on restrictions, at least not in my area :)

Beer and wine, yes. Liquor? No, unless, they have a liquor store attached. But it has to be a separate store (can be in the same building) with a separate entrance. But very few do. Some Publix (Florida equivalent of Kroger or Wegmans) locations have a liquor store attached, but not that many. But if you're looking for liquor, just go to some place like ABC Liquor. They have a large selection of pretty much anything you want.

In Tampa Bay you can't buy beer or wine on Sunday before 11 AM. I think it's ridiculous, but that's the way it is.

We must be really lazy (or lucky) in California. Grocery stores, 7-11, Quick Stop, AM-PM Mini Marts sell beer wine and hard liquor. The super grocery stores, you can get your booze, your prescriptions, your potting soil, your pot roast, propane for your bbq, firewood DVD rentals all in once place.

Thats weird I can walk into any major chain and buy any kind of alcohol I want.

Yes they do. I live in FL and I was in Aldi today...they had all kinds of wine in one aisle of the store. I think Publix has separate liquor stores next to the store, but I have no idea if that's for logistics or if it's a rule they have to follow for some reason or what.
