Just wondering whether excursions book up quickly and if we should reserve them right away? This is actually part of a much bigger question of whether we should keep our conceirge room (and get to book quicker). Thanks for your help!

Some fill up quickly, some don't ever fill. It depends on the cruise and the excursion. You can cancel up to 3 days before your embarkation if you change your mind.

As to concierge....you'd better check the rules before you decide. I don't remember if you can downgrade without losing your deposit.

I found that usually things involving dolphins tend to book out. Otherwise, I never found that much of an issue unless I waited to book on board.

Thank you everyone! We can downgrade, but if we do we will still have the "nonrefundable" deposit if we cancel. We will save enough in downgrading to two rooms that we could do more excursions! Thanks for your input!

I have found that excursions in the Caribbean or Bahamas, dont usually sell out besides things with Dolphins. In the med, there were defiantly more sold excursions. I think mainly because in the carribbean so many people are just heading to the beach and doing things on thier own.

I think it depends on what it is...like sometimes your first choice of a time slot may book up first on things like parasailing & jet skis. Things that only have room for like 10 or 20 people per hour or something. So for example if you wanted to jet ski at 10:00 then you may have to take a different slot like 1:00 or something. We've never sailed in concierge and have never had a problem booking what we wanted - but we book on the first day possible.

Man...I love all the input! Thanks everyone!!! I'm really leaning towards giving up conceirge so that we can do a fun excursion but it would be worthless if we can't get into an excursion! Thanks again!

I agree it depends on what excursion--if you are a repeat sailor and therefore a member of the Castaway Club you can get whatever excursion you want--the dolphins and specific times of certain excursions on Castaway cay sometimes book up quick as does the infant nursery if you need it but if you try to book as soon as you are able then I've never been disappointed. I think it's much more difficult to book dining reservations at WDW than to book ANY excursion on the DCL!
