I have never been to Disney before and their will be two of us using ECV's. Which way is the easiest to travel to the theme parks with theme? I'd like to use the monorail system but no one has mentioned them being accessable to ECV users. :moped:

The monorails are fully accessible. A CM will put a ramp between the platform and the car to let you get in. Be sure to tell him/her where you want to get off- they radio ahead and have an exit ramp ready to go.

The ramps to get up to the station can be rather steep- you DON'T want a particularly weak battery.

DO be aware that the monorail ONLY goes from TTC (Ticket and Transporation Center) to EPCOT, TTC to the Magic Kingdom, and looping around the "monorail resorts"- the Poly, the Grand Floridian, MK, and Contemporary (and the TTC).

You can transfer lines at the TTC from Epcot to a MK line, but you have to go down and up the ramps.

Are you staying at a WDW resort, and if so, which one? Most resorts will be connected to th theme parks by bus. The busses each hold two wheelchairs or ECVs. If you are staying at the Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian, then the monorail would work well for you.

If you are staying off-site and driving to the parks or using offsite busses that drop you at the Ticket and Transportation Center for the Magic Kingdom, you ca use either the monorails or the boats to get to Magic Kingdom. Be aware that there are fairly steep ramps to the monorail station there, and the boats may be easier, especially if it is a crowded day, as the monorail boarding lines could force you to stop on the ramp.

I am thinking about taking the boat to the magic kingdom, (never done it before) I also will have an ECV. I know where the TTC is, but where exactly is the entrance for the boats to the MK??? :sunny:

Once you are inside the TTC gates, facing the monorail ramps, the boat loading area will be to your left.
