Do DVC renters get free parking?

We rented a few of our points to some friends, and they asked us about parking the other day. Because we always fly and take DME, I had no idea what to tell them! I failed as a Disney Geek!

I can't find my Portable Perks to even tell me why our parking priveleges are - no less what they might get as our guests. Can anyone shed some light on this one for me? Learning something new every day on The DIS!

Parking is free to all resort guests, DVC or not.

Is parking free at ALL resorts on WDW property? Or just DVC? Now I'm actually quite curious . . .

So they just drive up to the front, check-in, give them their license plate info and park anywhere they like?

They will get a parking pass at check-in.

They can visit any resort on property for meals, browse around etc. and

will be issued a visitor pass to park at that resort ( usually for 3 hours ).

They get free parking at theme parks. DVC Members are entitled to free

valet parking at DVC resorts that offer valet parking services - -

this privilege is not extended to renters and

blue DVC membership card is supposed to be presented by the member in

order to use free valet parking and would need to be presented in event valet parking

is charged in order to have that charge reversed.

You can arrange ME for them and if they want DDP you'd need to add

it to their reservation by calling MS at least 48 hrs before checkin date.

They do not get DVC pool hopping privileges.

They aren't supposed to get free internet either but it has been frequently

reported that it happens - - if they use it they should expect to be billed

(blue DVC member card needs to be presented by member to have it reversed)

but if they don't get charged then they lucked into it.

Free parking at the theme parks for all WDW resort guests....DVC or regular Disney resorts.

Yes, all on-site resort guests get free parking at all the parks.

(Annual Passholders get it too, with the expection of Florida Seasonal pass)

DVC members do NOT get free parking at the theme parks unless they are staying on site - its a resort guest perk - and DVC members are resort guests. So if you are a member and you are staying offsite, you'll need to have an AP or pay for parking.

People who are renting a reservation from a member are not entitled to any DVC perks. But they are entitled to WDW resort guests perks - free parking at the resort they are staying at and at the theme parks. They are not entitled to park at the other resorts, but they may be allowed to park at the other resorts to visit the resort. Other WDW resort guest perks include using Magical Express to and from the airport, using WDW transportation around the complex, charging room purchases to their Key to the World (room key/ID).
