Do DVC Maintenance Fees Count for travel cards such as Chase Sapphire Preferred?

Some credit cards offer 3x points for travel expenses. Yet our lodging expenses at DVC are prepaid. Is anyone getting credit for MF and the like?

Dues transactions are not coded as travel. I have sent DVC emails over the years asking that they change their merchant account code but they have never responded.
