Do dress codes prohibit hats?

OK, so this is a bit tongue-in-cheek.

But you'd think with the emphasis that Disney is placing on dress codes in some of their nicer restaurants, that they would also ask that no hats be worn there either. I'm constantly amazed at how many people do not remove their hats.

Of course, it was probably difficult enough for them to figure out which side is the front. :rolleyes1
 
Hehe... Well I think the point of the dress codes is to enhance the value of the dining experience overall (i.e., across all diners). Of course, most people don't care about things like what other people are wearing, so their opinions don't sway the issue either way. Rather, where the number of people that would object to having the dress code imposed on them is less than the number of people who object to not having the dress code imposed, it makes sense to impose the dress code. Clearly, men wearing of tank tops :eek: is distasteful to enough people.... while the wearing of hats, perhaps, is not.
