Do Dogs Have Bellybuttons?

DH says he refuses to do an intimate search of the dog's body parts. :confused3 Well, I'M not lookin' for it!

Yes they do have belly buttons.

Dogs are mammals, and mammals grow and develop in the womb of their mothers through the umbilical cords. When they are born, this gets cut or eaten by the mother, which will leave a small scar in the pup's tummy. This is then the belly button.

Belly buttons are found on all mammals (except marsupials), and they’re essentially just a scar in the location where the umbilical cord was cut.
