I'm about to order some tees for me for our trip next month (after ordering for my kids, I started thinking, hey, I want some too!) and I was wondering if I should get a M or a L? Do they run big/small/true to size? Thanks!

I would say that the more fitted t's run slightly smaller. If it is more of a traditional t shirt, then it runs pretty true to the actual size.

I think the normal type of t-shirt runs large. I alway have to buy a child's large for myself rather than an adult's small :confused3 .

Rather than start a new thread, does anyone know if disney has women's t's in plus sizes? Cute ones, not the men's XL or XXL, ones that a 17 year old would like.

Maybe I'll just order a M and a L and if the M is too small, my DD8 can wear it as a nightshirt. Thanks!

If it's a fitted t make sure to order larger! I'm not a large person (tall but not large) and they run so small on me! I'm about 5'9 and 140 lbs. and I have a fitted T from there in a L that is too small! They also tend to shrink. However, the regular Ts do seem to run big. I wear a medium just fine in those. Hope that helps!

Disney also seems to be unpredictable on how their clothes fit. I have one outfit that coordinates that I had to have an XL in the shirt and a small in the skort. And no, I'm not too large in the bust area either. ;)

At the Disney store I usually buy tee shirts in a size L even though I usually like an XL because I don't like them tight but they also carry XL which are very roomy. Also at Disney World I really wanted a Tink zip-up sweatshirt that I had my eye on for a few days. I sent my son down to the gift store at Pop to grab it for me and he called and said they only had XXL and I told him to get it anyway. It is very roomy and I probably could have just gotten a large but I really loved it and I don't mind it big. So I think that you should be able to find plenty of things in plus sizes that are cute for a 17-year-old either at the Disney store or at Disney World. I have heard the Disney outlets in Orlando can be hit or miss as far as sizes and styles but they may have something there too.

Thanks! That gives me some hope, we are staying at All Stars Music and I really wanted my sister to be able to get something "at Disney"

In my experience, the fitted tees run SMALL. I ordered some last year and had to LAUGH when I tried them on. Watch out for descriptions that say "JUNIOR SIZE". They are super tiny. I normally wear a medium in most tees and I ended up with the xl ones in some of the fitted styles from the Disney store last year. I like the fitted ones, but I don't like them tight. I agree with others that the traditional style tees run a little large.

The normal ladies sizes go up to XXL which is classified as a 22/24 in disney sizes. Its pretty close to the actual size. If she's larger than that then she would have to go more towards the normal t-shirts, which run about a size or 2 large and go up to about a 3X (I don't recall seeing one larger than that). A lot of the shirts are gender neutral so it wouldn't be as if she was wearing a men's shirt.
