Do Disney Still Send you stuff in the Post?

Hi, just wondering if Disney still send you confirmations and other stuff in the post? Not been since end of 2005 but all the times before you always got stuff sent. I have had the PDF of the invoice showing all paid etc so I am guessing in the modern world that's all you need.

No. Just before you travel you get a hard copy confirmation with 'vouchers' as part of the letter for your food/dining plan/tickets. It can clearly be managed without. I left mine on the plane last year.............

So you do get a letter but you don't need it? I have like a week to go and nothing has turned up, we did get confirmation PDF but that was it, so I was expecting maybe this time they just give you everything when you show up at the hotel. If I don't have the vouchers hard copy, will they give you it at the hotel?

I think at the hotel you will just get your room card and if you have tickets and dining plan as part of the package, those go on there too. Because I'm an idiot and left my letter/vouchers on the plane, but did have a copy of my PDF printed, I just gave them that and it was a none issue. I don't know the rules, but that's what happened. Just take your PC print out. I do know our Disney stuff has always come super late in the post.

Ps. I'm not explaining well. The vouchers are part of the letter, not separate documents.

Ok then I might have a problem as it's still not here and as far as Disney know we go out on the 7th April for 10 nights... but in fact we go out on the 29th March as we wanted to do a half and half holiday, first 9 nights in Seaworld/Universal and try out I-Drive... bah, thing is we paid it in full ages ago, you would think after you have paid it they would send you the letter, doh!

Will give them a call when I find out about the preferred firework thing on Thursday and double check if they think I will get the letter in time.

Crazy thing was when we booked our hotel with Seaworld for the 1st part, they had the tickets and confirmation posted over from the USA in less than 2 weeks.

I think I've always had the Disney letter about 2 weeks before so you've got time yet. I know I'm always panicking before it arrives, but to be fair I'd say its about 2 weeks. So you have some time yet

Got it, start to panic from Monday LOL ;-) To be honest I wasn't expecting anything this time, with the PDF I thought it all moved online. Back in the day you booked online and they sent you things like Disney name tags for your luggage but then back in the day you could also book 8 people at the same hotel at the same time, now your forced to book 2 groups separate, online service has really went down hill.

Also I am not liking the fact that none of the USA Disney folk on the UK phone number have no idea what your reference number means, and say wonderful reassuring stuff like, we don't use the UK booking reference on the USA system!!!!

this is why you need to request your 12 Digits US confirmation number from the UK website to be able to do stuff like booking DME, ADRs and such.

You also need this number to do online check in for the hotel, which saves loads of time.

Anyway the only thing the CM needs at check in is your name and ID

The only issue with not getting the litterature from WDTC-UK is in case you got a gift card as part of your offer/deal

When your trip starts before your actual check in date, you need to send WDTC-UK an email requesting that your documents be sent earlier than the 2 weeks prior to departure (as is advertised a few times along the booking process)

Yes we get 2x $100 gift cards, but as it's 2 weeks before and that is this Sunday and we don't leave until next Friday it should hopefully be fine.

And thanks for the tip of getting the online check in, shall look that up now

I had a similar problem last year. I had ten nights in California before flying to Orlando so the package arrived home after I had left. Checking in at SSR was no problem (had the email confirmations etc) but I was missing the vouchers and the Gift Card. Reception were able to get Disney UK to forward a replacement gift card and gave a small room account credit to make up for a missing meal (one of the vouchers). Was able to use the preferred fireworks viewing reservations I had made too.

it has our voucher for the two nights we're staying in a disney hotel and a copy of the little book of magic, all in shiny folder We leave next weekend but the disney hotel part of our holiday isn't until the 10th April - so it's arrived about 2.5 weeks before

I called them today and they confirmed you receive a pack with accom vouchers etc and the $100 gift card within 14 days of travel x

It's 2 weeks before on Sunday for me, however I spoke to someone yesterday and she said while it should have been printed and on it's way to me this week, she was going to send an email to see about getting them sent priority since I am away from Friday, so don't have the full 2 weeks. She did say the worst case is we get everything else, just not the 2x $100 gift cards, so we will see, still have days left so not that worried, yet LOL ;-)

A wee update for you all, so I just received a phone call from Disney Guest Services just now and because they are thinking the time scale is too close to ensure for definite that we get the Mickey mail, they are going to instead forward it to Animal Kingdom and we get our vouchers and gift cards on check in, so that’s good, glad they sorted that, then

I have contacted Disney twice and have been given the " your documentation will be dispatched 14 days before your departure" ... Starting to worry I won't get my disney gift cards in time !

Still waiting as well. We travel 7th : / they're will be no post tomorrow or Monday x

I just called....they said stays up to April 12th were posted yesterday. So should get by latest Tuesday! x
