Do Disney resorts fill up in early July?

I was wondering if it would be possible to add on vacation days at the last minute. I'm scheduled for 6 days at the Poly, but we've often had a hard time leaving Disney. There is never enough time!

Don't know about early July, but we tried to do the same thing last summer in mid-June. Poly was full. The only thing available was a standard view room at the Beach Club that the CM described as having a parking lot view.
