Do Disney read these boards?

I am sure this has been asked before but I did a search and found nothing.

Reading some of the posts- positive and negative, I thought that there are not many companies that have such easy access to free Market Resarch!

Do you think or maybe know, that someone has a job description to read the board and report back? Maybe they even post to correct any inaccuracies? Could they match the Diser with their customer?

What are your thoughts?

A factual yes to all the above with the exceptions that TWDC will not post offical "corrections" on discussion boards. Also there is no active wide spread attempt to match posters to actual guests.

I have to agree with above....I know for a fact that DCL does read these boards and you are correct....it is a fantastic way for them to monitor feedback and get a finger on the pulse of what cruisers feel, want, dislike or like!!

On my recent TA cruise, a lot of CMs "knew" who I was because of my nametag. No where on it did it say anything about disboards but most of the CM knew that I was part of the group. I was really surprised. One even told me that we "had the power to change things."

I had the same experience as stlkeeler while on a recent cruise. Our DisMeet had made nametags with our Dis name and (if desired) our real first name. MANY comments from CMs on the ship including some thanks for what the boards do!

Disney does monitor the boards but not post. And we have seen changed as a direct response to things that have occurred on these and other boards--positive and negative changes! On the 2005 Panama Crossing there was a group that was planning to share the unlimited internet package; they had moved from these boards (where such activities would be banned) to another site to make their arrangements. DCL learned of it, and eliminated all the unlimited internet packages.

An officer told me he reads the DISboards when he is on his vacation, because it's the best place to be abe to keep up with what's going on while he's gone!
