When you check-in, you have access to all of the credits for your entire stay. They are good until midnight on the day you check out. You can choose to ration them however you see fit. You can use all the credits in one day if you wanted, use them every other day, use them daily, whatever you want to do...
You have a given number of credits for your stay. So if you are on the DDP for 7 nights you have 7TS credits, 7 CS credits, and 14 snack credits. You can use as many credits per day as you want. When they're all gone, they're all gone. If you have remaining credits when you check out, they expire that night at midnight.
OT, but something I found out the hard way a year or so ago:
I knew if you were doing a split stay to be sure to use up all the credits from your first stay by midnight of that check out day. Meal credits from both stays will be valid that day. However, if you plan on doing a Signature meal that last night of the first stay, make sure you have used up the last of the meal credits from the first stay before dinner or that you have two credits left for that meal. You can not combine a credit from your first stay with one from your second stay (even though they are both valid for that day). I use the DxDDP frequently, so do Signature restaurants most nights when I do. I've found that I have to use a credit from my second stay for lunch, then use the two credits from the first stay that night for dinner, so the fifth day of my nine day trip I'll be juggling two KTTW cards from two different resorts (both with active DDPs on them).
