Do DH & I *need* a private pool/spa?

I am kind of keen on the villas with their own private pool in the backyard. But will we really use it? I have a feeling the kids will rather be where there is action & other kids around during the day.

We love our spa @ home, but will DH and I actually go out and relax in it at night, I wonder, or is it overrated.

Thoughts?

We get a lot of use at the private pool and spa. Even though our kids like to go to the community pool and be where the action is, the villa pool gets used by them early in the morning while we are eating breakfast and having coffee. There is no way I am running to the community pool at 8 or 9 am. We also use it late at night when we are pooped from the parks. They don't have to wait for me to finish making lunch or packing bags to go for a quick dip in the pool. As for your DH and you using the pool, you may or may not, but it is so nice to sit outside in the screened in lanai.

My grandkids like the pool at the house better than community one but they were younger and the house pool was warmer than the other one. When it's just DH and I we use the pool and spa a lot.
Your private pool is good for when you get home at night and are too tired to gather everything up and go to the community pool. The hours are more flexible also.

We love using the resort pool but did get more use out of the pool in our rental. It was so nice at night when the kids had gone to bed to sit in the spa or even just sit outside and relax. The kids were able to use it early in the morning when we were all getting ready. We tossed up this time between condo/townhouse/villa and even though there are only 4 of us decided that the pool and spa were too tempting so are going back to the villa. It was only a few hundred dollars difference over a twelve night stay so its well worth it to us. We probably would have been just as happy in a townhouse.

Having the pool is great.
It was a pain to drive to the pools vs. having them open the slider and jump in for us, is the bomb. They spend a lot of time in the pool truly many, many hours.
