Do children count??

I am trying to find out if children count for the number of guests. We are having an intimate wedding and with my groom's nephews (3 and 6)it would put us at 11 guests. They have to be there since there isn't a babysitting option for them, but I hate to pay an extra $100 for a 3 yr. old!

Why isn't there a babysitting option? The Fairy Godmothers are very nice and dependable. Of course, it will probably cost close to $100 (if not a bit more) for the babysitting service for 2 kids during your reception. However, but I don't think it's your responsibility to pay for your nephew's babysitting.

My future MIL wants them there, so they have to be there. I would like them to be there too, we have been living with his sister and her boys for the last 8 months now to help her out while she is going through a divorce. That is actually how we met because DH2B was living there and I moved to MD from WI to help out.

I believe that children under 10 are not included in your guest count for an intimate wedding. So you won't have to pay to have them there.

Hmgolden is correct! We had an intimate and we had 4 kids under 10 that didn't count. They do have a limit of 5! HTH!
