Do cheer/dance events impact FP+ availability?

I was reading on the resorts board that the world cheer and dance championships has rented out all three All Star resorts for all or at least a portion of the week we are going in April. Since that is roughly 1/6th of the onsite room availability (about 5,500 of the approximately 30,000 onsite rooms), I am curious whether the attendees have any measurable effect on the FP+ process. I was thinking perhaps that:

(1) Since their schedule is potentially unknown or they may be focused more on the competition, they are less likely to book at 60 days out; or
(2) at the opposite end of the spectrum, maybe their group organizers plan in bulk for people and book everything for them?

Any thoughts or insights?

Most families report their tickets are given to them after they reach WDW. And, there's still the other 24,000 rooms that could be fully booked.

Just plan as you would for your own FP booking and begin as soon as your booking window opens. I often book a couple of weeks before a park day because it all depends on my CM friend's scheduling. I don't worry about the thousands who've already booked - I just search for what's available.
