do characters sign autograph books?

I have never been before and I was wondering if the characters sign autograph books or do they do just pictures? If they do sign, are there any that don't such as maybe Donkey? Also, which Spongebob characters do you see? Squidward?, Sandy?, Mr. Krabs? This is the list I have so far:
Can anyone let me know if I am leaving anyone out or have someone on the list that isn't at the parks.

Yes, the characters at Universal and IOA do autograph. If I remember correctly, the characters who can't sign (Shrek, Donkey, Barney, etc.) have a CM who will ink stamp your book.

I've only seen Spongebob, no other characters from the show. He's in the area after you exit the Jimmy Neutron ride.

As for the rest of your list, I've never seen:

Beetlejuice, Jimmy Neutron, any Rugrats or Thornberry's, Barney (other than in his show), Ricky Ricardo, any Popeye or Sinbad characters.

We have seen:
Doc Brown, Diego, all the Scooby Doo Team, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Boop, Madagascar Penguins and ALex, Rocky and Bullwinkle.

The only Spongebod character we meet at US was Spongebob himself. However, at the character breakfast at the Nick hotel, we met Patrick and Squidward, along with Spongebob. I will tell you that the characters at US and IOA are great with kids. Maybe there aren't many people looking to meet them, so my kids got to spend tons of time with them. The Man in the Yellow Hat from Curious George could have just stepped out of the book (so real). Have fun!!!

The Nick Hotel is about 20-25 minutes from Universal. I'm pretty sure you need to be staying there to go to one of their shows or character meals.

They do run some decent discounts through AAA or travelzoo, we are going on May 30th (for one night) and were able to get a FL Resident rate of $119.

It's an old Holiday Inn hotel that has pools, slides, slime, etc.

Thanks for the information on the Nick hotel. We have already booked our stay at The Royal Pacific Resort for one night (we are staying in a rental home near Disney for the remainder of our stay). We chose The Royal Pacific to benefit from the front of the line passes. My three boys and most of all my husband don't do well in long lines. $238.11/night using AAA. The Nick hotel however looks really fun. I will have to remember it for future vacations. That price sounds great. I know my 5 year old and 9 year old would love it, I'm not so sure about my 13 year old.

Beetlejuice sometimes comes out outside of the theatre for his revue. Jimmy Neutron usually comes out with Dora. Ricky Ricardo walks with Lucy outside of the I Love Lucy memorial thing. Popeye and Olive are usually outside of the toon lagoon sign by Marvel.

Does anyone know where Rocky and Bullwinkle are found? Some wonderful person on the creative disboards is making me autograph pages for the characters at Universal and Islands and I am trying to figure out which characters we will see. Thanks for all the help!
