Just curious, do any cast members remember past cruisers? I realize they meet thousands of people a year. Just wondering if anyone remembered you.

i'm amazed that they do in fact remember you since they do see so many people along the way. we always make a point to find out if certain cm's are on board with the current servers we have and end up greeting them along the way. we have been seeing one cm in particular for 4 years and he always remembers us and asks for updates that we had told him from a previous cruise. its great coming home to familar faces.

In a word, YES!

A former server that is now a head waiter, Jeff.

A former one time lunch server, Jean.

All of the Palo's servers.

A former assistant server ran across the dining room one night when he recognized us, Olympio.

We've even had servers that didn't know us personally but had heard stories of us backstage. They were actually excited to finally have their own 'encounter'.

No, we are not special, in fact we are very average. We just like to have fun.

Ok, dup post so I will edit now.

We like doing back-to-back cruises so that might help.

Windemere: Wow, you must be the life of the party if the CMs are talking about you backstage!

In 38 cruises, I guess it's not surprising that a lot of the crew recognizes us. :D
But even back when we were in single digits, we were amazed at the number of people who remembered us.

Our Diningroom Server on the Eastern remembered us a year later, my DH was on his way out of Parrot Cay the day we boarded and left the lunch to go get in line for Palo's. Well, the CM that was our Diningroom Server was actually over all the Diningroom servers and assistant servers now and we were going on the Western this time. So he said to my DH, where are you going in such a hurry. DH said to get in line for Palo's, he said what is your room number and when and how many people do you want Palo's for. He did the reservation for us and when we checked into our room after the life boat drill, there was a message on the phone that said we were all set for Palo's reservations for 12 people on the day and time we asked for. It was like "Magic", the do go out of their way especially when they recognize you and love to see people over and over again.

We returned in June from only our second Disney Cruise. Our server from our first trip recognized us. However, we had to jog his memory. We reminded him that my son in law was the one that literally ate anything he was served and then some. Oh, yes, he said, he remembered him for sure

We've cruised three times on the Wonder and the Oceaneer's Club staff remembered my DS on the third cruise. One CM even said hello to him by name when we were first walking on board the ship. I was shocked that she would remember him considering how many kids are on board during each cruise. They are just amazing people!

Yes, indeed they do remember most people! Thankfully, mainly for all the RIGHT reasons. They love to see repeat guests, as they are away from home 6mths at a time, and always happy to see a "familiar face". Nat:Pinkbounc

I have only cruised twice but they were about 6 months apart but sure enough, there were CM's that remembered me. The one that surprised me most was the room steward that remembered not only me but asked if I was travelling with the same group again and listed the entire party I travelled with the first time.

They are amazing like that.

We have sailed DCL 10 times and we always have CM's coming up to us saying...welcome back...we became very friendly with many of the Cruise Staff and dining room servers as well as the CM's in the shops.

We even had the same room steward 3 times by coincidence!!! We brought our relatives onboard and they kept saying to me...do you know everyone on this ship...they all keep coming up to you and saying hi...how have you been...welcome back, etc.

One of our servers from a previous cruise heard we were onboard and found us in the dining room (a different rotation than hers) to just say hi and give us a hug!!!

It's like coming home when we sail on the Magic.

We requested our former server Wis from our last cruise and got him. He remembered us and even got his former assistant server Plamen (who is now a server) to stop by one night to say Hi on our last cruise. We are hoping to see them again on our next cruise. I have to agree it is almost like seeing family again.
