Do Bunk Bed Rooms at AKL Give You A Little More Room?

I am trying to decide if it would be worth it to request bunk beds at AKL. DS will be 3 1/2 and I think he would love to try out the bunk beds. I was also thinking that it might work out in our favor because I am going to assume that a bunk takes up less room than another queen bed. Since we will have DD in a crib any extra space would be great.

Does this room configuration provide for a little more space?

Go for the bunk bed. It does give you a little more room, and you can put a blanket over the opening for nap time for the 3 year old. Believe it or not, our 14 year old liked the extra privacy

Bunk beds definitely.......a little more room and your child will love it. Big thrill given the decor and "ownership" of their own special bed.

Yes, they give you more room, there's a smalll table by the slider and a couch across from it. The bunk add's extra room as the deluxe rooms are also bigger than standard ( 3-4 flr), CM will also get you bed rails if requested ( but don't do this at 1:00 in the AM).

We found the bunk beds handy because we could put stuff on the top bunk and DS couldn't get to it! Whereas if he was sleeping in a queen bed, everything would have to come off each night.

Note that the bunk beds are not pushed against the wall and cannot be moved, so you don't have as much extra room as I expected. But the PNP fit nicely between our queen bed and the curtains/patio door, so we weren't tripping over it.

Note that there is no couch in the standard bunk bed rooms, only the deluxe bunk bed rooms. We had a small table and two chairs in our standard bunk bed room.
