Do Blackberries work in WDW?

Has anyone been brave or crazy enough to bring their Blackberry with them? How was reception in the parks/resorts, etc.? My boss is going next week - a newbie - and he thinks he's going to be able to do his usual "working" vacation, LOL. OK, the real reason I want to know is that I want real time access to his trip report! If it works, I'd like to apologize in advance for all the questions I'll be asking you guys for him next week!

I would like to know too, my blackberry is my "cell" phone as well. I usually use my cell phone so others in our party can get in touch with me. I have only had my blackberry two months and have been somewhat disappointed with the reception.

my brother's worked last winter. He emailed us all the link to the photopass. I have no idea if it only worked in certain places etc. which is what usually happens to me when i travel. you know it works when you stand 3 feet from the mirror and hold it with your left hand but if you are 4 ft away and hold it with your right hand nothing.

Unfortunately, mine worked perfectly everywhere
The only places it didn't work were inside actual rides (like Soarin').
And this was just last week.

Mine worked unfortunately! I have Cingular.

I agree with you, it is a horrible phone!

Thanks! We've got Cingular, too, so we should be fine then. I'd heard that Cingular coverage with the GSM system wasn't very good at WDW.

I have a Cingular Blackberry and, as mentioned previously, it worked everywhere except deep inside rides/buildings (like Soarin).

Also agree it's a horrible phone. I have a Verizon cell phone also and got reception everywhere.

My Treo worked like a charm and its a GSM phone - have to say its a much better phone than the blackberry

I am from the uk and have an MDA 3 (see link) instead of a blackberry.

works great, and has blackberry installed on it for the email

works no problem in Disney, and I used T-Mobile.

My DH is on the T-Mobile network, and yes it works very well....His one concession to the vacation is to switch it off vibrate, though I still see him sneaking a peak when we are in line.
